Cambrist wins Grand Prix Award at the 2019 National Startup Awards

Cambrist has picked up the Grand Prix Startup of the Year Award, at the National Startup Awards 2019. The Awards took place on Thursday, 24th October at Dublin’s City Hall
Cambrist, founded by Jacob Clafin Blake Newman and Victor Mikhailov, was also named overall winner in the FinTech category. Cambrist is a fintech startup, backed by leading payments industry veterans, with teams in Dublin, Ireland and Austin, Texas.
Their vision is to fundamentally change the current model of international card payments by empowering banks and processors around the world to take control of the foreign exchange rates applied to their cardholders’ international payment transactions.
The competition recognises innovative, successful and aspirational Irish startup companies who have launched their businesses in the last five years. This year, awards were presented to deserving winners across 13 categories including tech, retail, product and tourism with gold, silver and bronze winners being awarded in each category.
